Frequently asked questions

How long will this take?

When you book your sleep test, you can choose the night that suits you best. Once you've completed the test, we will analyse the results and arrange a consultation with one of our doctors. This process usually takes about 1–2 weeks after your test. If treatment is recommended, it typically takes another 1–2 weeks to get started at home.

What if I have insomnia, or another sleep problem?

You will be able to discuss any sleep problem during your consultation. We start with sleep apnoea because it often causes other sleep problems. However, our doctors are experienced in managing all sleep disorders.

Does sleep apnoea impact driving?

Some people worry that having sleep apnoea means you cannot drive. This is not the case. If you are not sleepy then there is no reason to stop driving.

However, if you feel sleepy at the wheel then you must not drive. It is unsafe to do so and you put yourself and others at risk. If the sleepiness is due to sleep apnoea, this can be treated quickly so you can return to driving safely.

After your sleep study, we will help you understand why you might be feeling sleepy. We will discuss how this is affecting you and if anything needs to be done to keep you driving safely.

Why is this so cheap?

A full sleep apnoea diagnosis costs the NHS around £800. We are able to offer an equivalent clinical service for less because our digital tools make things more efficient, our doctors work remotely, and we don't have to pay for any buildings!

Why is this so expensive?

We offer a full clinical service delivered by doctors, with data security and clinical safety that meets the highest NHS standards. We do more than send you a sleep apnoea test. We personalise your care and focus on delivering a great consultation with a doctor who has all the information they need to understand your problem.
